Who is Mira Sophia?

Mira Sophia began her spiritual journey in 1975 when she read Autobiograpy of a Yogi, by Paramahansa Yogananda. This facilitated her
move a year later from Los Angeles to the small town of Ojai, California. It was there that she began to open herself to the healing arts and meditation. She studied massage, polarity therapy and shiatsu,
received her license and started a practice. Having also been a dancer, Mira was drawn to study other forms of movement and went to Esalen
Institute to take classes with Gabrielle Roth and Tai Chi Master Al Wong. While there Mira became interested in psychotheraputic modalities and studied with the late Harry Sloan and Janet Zuckerman, well known teachers at Esalen. In 1980 Mira moved to San Francisco to expand her healing practice. She taught movement classes and began a study of western tantra which later led her to Kashmirian Shaivism and a deeper study of the tantric teachings.

In 1986 Mira was guided to move to Maui, Hawaii. In was there, living close to the land and the ocean where she realized that her future work with be with women. When she moved back to the Bay Area three years later she worked with a few teachers experimenting with different forms of movement processes. In 1995 she presented her transformational event called Into The Mystery. For the next ten years Mira devoted herself to the deepening of this work being a guide for hundreds of women wishing to have an embodied experience of the Divine Feminine. Mira‚s passion for the awakening of feminine on the planet continues to infuse her life and work.

In 1999 Mira went to Egypt with Shamanic Journeys and met Jane Bell who became a best friend. Mira‚s love for Egypt and the Egyptian people
guided her back there almost every year since then enabling her to deepen her study of the Ancient Egyptian Mysteries. In 2004 she became
a part of Presence of Heart facilitating the Egypt journeys with Jane.

For the past 31/2 years Mira has been a student of the Diamond Logos Teachings with Faisal Muqqadam. She is available as a spiritual counselor and a movement therapist. She currenly resides in San Francisco,California and Ashland, Oregon.
